Laser Cut Creations.

Meet the makers!

Some people grow up dreaming of leaving the land, others are shaped by it.

From an early age, the farm came first. Before school buses and exam halls, there were early mornings in muddy fields, the smell of hay, and the quiet responsibility of life depending on you. During lambing season, school sometimes had to wait — not out of neglect, but necessity. When an animal needs you, you don’t walk away.

After school, James travelled for a year. He explored the world and other possibilities. Still, the pull of the family farm drew him home — not because it was easy, but because it mattered.

At eighteen, he met the love of his life. While he worked the land, Rebecca was building her own path through creativity and making. She worked in a laser cutting business as part of the design and production team, learning how ideas become objects through precision and craft.

Alongside farming, rugby became a passion for James — a release from the pressure of the land. He was a dedicated and talented player, until a serious injury changed everything. A cracked pelvis and dislocated hip brought rugby to an abrupt end and forced life to slow.

During that pause, Rebecca returned to college to study contemporary fine art. In her final year, they welcomed their first daughter just before her graduation — a moment that reshaped everything.

She went on to open and build her own art gallery, painting landscapes and wildflowers inspired by the countryside, designing wallpaper and homewares, and hosting exhibitions. While James continued to farm his family farm.

James and Rebecca welcomed baby girl number 2 in 2017 and married in 2021 before welcoming their third daughter into their growing family.

After nearly two decades of farming — through good seasons and devastating ones — the reality became clear. The land they loved could not offer enough security on its own to support their growing family.

So they joined their skills and stories to create something new. James brings the lived experience of the farm — the seasons, the animals, the quiet moments. She brings artistry, design, and a maker’s eye — transforming real farm life into meaningful pieces.

This business is their way of protecting the future while honouring the land that shaped them.

This isn’t just a business.

It’s resilience made tangible.

It’s choosing to keep going — together.
